Holbein Artist Japan Gold Size Adhesive
A dark liquid which acts as a quick drying adhesive for gliding (gold leaf). Made from copal resin dissolved in turpentine and processed vegetable oils. Dilute in 3 parts turpentine and apply mixture to a non-absorptive surface. The medium must be at an almost dry stage of tackiness before applying the leaf which should be pressed on with a clean piece of cotton. Do not rub.
